Kitchen countertops and other stone surfaces

Kitchen countertops and other stone surfaces demand precision. That is why we invested in a new 5-axis CNC machine from Donatoni, Italy, which allows us to create even the most complex shapes and details — precisely.

Holes, cutouts, and other features are made with precision based on your needs and requirements.

When it comes to stone, manual work is still essential, where skill and experience are crucial. Alongside me, our chief stonemason has over 25 years of experience and is a certified stonemason by the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts.

Kitchen countertop

The most common materials for kitchen and worktops are granite, quartz and Dekton.

Granite

Granite has several advantages over quartz:

  • Natural material: granite is 100% natural, giving unique patterns and aesthetics. Each slab is one-of-a-kind.
  • Heat resistance: granite tolerates high temperatures and direct contact with hot cookware better than quartz.
  • Lower cost: in some cases granite can be more affordable depending on type and availability.
  • UV resistance: granite does not change color in the sun, making it suitable for outdoor use or bright kitchens.

Quartz

Quartz is an engineered material

  • Design variety: because it is manufactured, it is available in a wide range of colors, patterns and finishes.
  • Uniformity: unlike natural materials, quartz has a consistent pattern preferred in modern kitchens.
  • Lower porosity: quartz is less porous than granite and, with proper care, resists staining and is easy to clean.
  • Durability: it is extremely durable and resistant to impacts, scratches and wear.

Dekton - Porcelain

Dekton or porcelain is a modern, technically produced material designed to eliminate the drawbacks of quartz and granite

  • Exceptional heat resistance: Dekton withstands very high temperatures without damage.
  • Non-porous: Dekton does not absorb liquids and is therefore resistant to stains from wine, coffee or oil.
  • Durability: resistant to chemicals, acids and impacts, making it extremely long-lasting.
  • Aesthetic flexibility: available in various colors and patterns, including stone-look finishes.
